SIQ stimulates and contributes to positive quality development in all parts of Swedish society by creating, collecting and disseminating knowledge for long-term and sustainable development work.
SIQ - the Swedish Institute for Quality is an independent foundation, established by the government. SIQ's mission is to stimulate and contribute to positive quality development in all parts of Swedish society by creating, collecting and disseminating knowledge for long-term and sustainable development work.
SIQ is also tasked with being the unifying, driving and resource-creating body for national development in the field of quality and thus also supporting international cooperation. Our principals are the Swedish state via the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and the member organizations of Intressentföreningen. Intressentföreningen consists of members from both the private sector and the public sector.
SIQ is a foundation and a non-profit industrial research institute founded in 1990. Our principals are the Swedish state via the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and the member organizations of Intressentföreningen Kvalitetsutveckling. The Stakeholder Association consists of members from both the private industry and the public sector.
As an independent party with no vested interests, we can act as a neutral and impartial bridge between academia and industry. In this role, we can help companies and organizations understand - and above all gain practical benefit from - national and international research and science in strategic quality development.
SIQ wants to contribute to a society in which all organizations develop customer-focused, sustainable practices that harness the full potential of people and businesses.
Since 1992, SIQ has provided a national quality model that is based on Swedish quality research. SIQ has since then managed and further developed the model that constitutes society's model for quality. Universities and colleges educate students and doctoral students in SIQ the model that forms the basis of Swedish quality research. We disseminate knowledge through our courses and we gather people and organizations around quality in our various networks and through our member organization.
SIQ collaborates with higher education institutions and researchers in Sweden to ensure that the model remains relevant and useful. We also work in other forums to disseminate professional knowledge in the field of quality to strengthen the quality profession as a profession.
Achieving sustainable development requires more value-creating use of resources and systematic quality and improvement work.
The five factors guide decisions and actions for motivation and direction.
